Graphic Design Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphic Design Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in graphic design. As a Graphic Design Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction to students, helping them develop their creative skills and technical proficiency in graphic design. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their work.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver high-quality instructional materials and lessons to students in graphic design.

- Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices in graphic design.

- Teach students various graphic design techniques, principles, and software tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite.

- Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to guide students in the creation of graphic design projects.

- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and achieve learning goals.

- Create a supportive and collaborative learning environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

- Stay up-to-date with current trends and advancements in the field of graphic design and incorporate them into instructional materials and lessons.

- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure program effectiveness and student success.

- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and program evaluation activities as required.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design.

- Proven experience as a graphic design instructor or similar role.

- Proficiency with industry-standard graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

- Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, techniques, and best practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to effectively teach and mentor students of varying skill levels.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience teaching graphic design at the college or university level.

- Experience with online or distance learning platforms.

- Familiarity with web design and user experience (UX) principles.

- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation software (After Effects, Premiere Pro).

- Portfolio of professional graphic design work.

Working Conditions:

The Graphic Design Instructor will primarily work in a classroom or studio setting, delivering instruction and guiding students in their graphic design projects.
